Blynk-e has zero tolerance for any form of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE — Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation). This page explains our safety standards, how we moderate content, how users can report harmful material or behaviour, and how we cooperate with the authorities.
User safety, and child protection in particular, is a priority for Blynk-e. We strictly prohibit the creation, distribution, solicitation or promotion of any content involving the sexual abuse or exploitation of minors, as well as any behaviour that puts children at risk. This rule applies to every feature, including challenges, polls, comments, chat and direct messages, rooms, stories, live video and profiles.
We enforce this policy without exception: content that violates it is removed from view immediately, the account is permanently banned and, where the law requires or allows it, we report the content to the competent authorities. We comply with the child-safety laws that apply to us.
Blynk-e is intended exclusively for people who are at least 18 years old. Participation requires a permanent account and a date-of-birth check; the check relies on the date the user provides and is not government-ID verification. We do not knowingly collect or request data from people under 18.
If we learn that a minor has created an account, we close it without delay and delete the associated data, except data we must keep by law (for example evidence needed by the authorities). You can tell us about a suspected minor account at support@blynk-e.com or by reporting the profile.
Any user can report harmful content or behaviour directly in the app, using the “Report” option on challenges, polls, comments, chat and direct messages, rooms, stories, live sessions and profiles. The “Child safety” reason is handled with the highest priority, and content reported for it is hidden immediately until a moderator reviews it.
Every report is reviewed; our target is to act on violating content within 24 hours, and child-safety reports are handled first. Depending on the violation, the measures may include removing the content, a strike, or suspending or permanently banning the author’s account; child sexual abuse or exploitation always leads to a permanent ban.
For safety, users can block other accounts. A blocked account can no longer message you or interact with your content, and you no longer see its content. Blocking complements reporting and is available at any time.
Blynk-e reports child sexual abuse/exploitation content to the competent authorities, in accordance with applicable law:
If a child is in immediate danger, call 112 (or your local emergency number) first.
Live video (live sessions, duels and rooms) runs on LiveKit infrastructure that we host and operate ourselves; streams are not handed to a third-party platform with its own moderation. Live sessions and live chat can be reported while they are happening, and the same rules apply as for all other content.
Our moderators can end a live session immediately, remove participants and restrict an account from going live. Any child sexual abuse or exploitation shown or solicited during a stream leads to the termination of the session, a permanent ban and the reporting steps described above. Broadcasting minors is not allowed.
Our designated child-safety contact is reachable at support@blynk-e.com; messages about child safety are routed to our designated child-safety lead. This person can answer questions about our CSAM prevention practices and compliance with these standards, including from app stores and authorities. To report content, use the in-app Report option; to report a crime, contact the authorities listed above.
We review these standards periodically to keep pace with changes in legislation and best practice. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current version.
